The PM SHRI School program is sponsored by the Government of India and here are the following benefits of the scheme:
- PM SHRI Scheme aims to offer high-quality education in an inclusive learning environment, catering to each student’s unique background, language needs, and academic capabilities
- In line with the National Education Policy 2020, PM SHRI Scheme seeks to develop students into successful, engaged, and valuable contributors to society
- Over five years, the PM-SHRI project plans to upgrade 14,500 schools, with a total expenditure of ₹27,360 crores
- With the integration of solar panels, LED lighting, nutrition gardens, natural farming, trash management, and water conservation, these schools will be designed with a focus on sustainability
- Research on environmental practices, workshops on climate change, and effective knowledge management for a healthy approach are all part of the curriculum
- Emphasis will be on learning outcomes in every grade, with competency-based assessments focusing on conceptual understanding and real-world application
- Performance criteria for each area and the effectiveness of existing resources will be evaluated, with systematic strategies for addressing deficiencies.
