Scout & Guide Activities-
Scout Guide and Cubs Bulbul unit is running in the Vidyalaya in which the name of Scout Cubs unit is Shaheed Bhagat Singh and the name of Guide Bulbul is Rani Laxmibai. In the session 2023-24, Scout HWB Mr. PL Sahu, three advance scout masters Mr. HK Sahu, Mr. DR Sahu and Mr. BL Yadav are working in the scout wing. HWB Cub Master Mr. SK Devangan, three advance cub masters Mrs. Sumitra Thakur, Mr. Jitendra Kumar and Mr. Reeman Lal are working in the cub section. In the guide wing – 2 guide captains Mrs. Amita Mathew and Mrs. Kamal Preet Kaur are working. There are three troops in the scout wing, two packs in the cub section, two companies in the guide and one flock in Bulbul.
In the session 2023-24, there are 87 scouts, 70 guides, 48 cubs and 24 Bulbul. At the school level, in November 2023, the training and testing of the first and second stage of admission was done through online medium, in which 30 children successfully passed the first and 40 children passed the second stage. A three-day training and testing camp was organized from 14 to 16 September 2023 at the divisional level, in which 11 scouts and 8 guides of Kendriya Vidyalaya Dhamtari actively participated. In this series, Raipur Division organized the State Award Testing Camp from 21 to 25 August 2023, in which 8 scouts and 8 guides of our school participated, the result of which is awaited.In this camp, HWB PL Sahu of our school played the role of examiner with great enthusiasm and promptness.
In the session 2023-24, 16 cubs from Cub Section Primary participated in the admission, first and second stage testing camps and passed. 16 cubs participated in the third stage testing camp and passed. 16 Cubs participated in Division level 4th Phase online testing camp and passed. These 16 Cubs were also selected for Golden Arrow Award. 8 Bulbuls participated in online entry Komal Pankh, Rajat Pankh testing camp and passed.
7 Bulbuls participated in online Swarna Pankh testing and passed. 9 Bulbuls participated in Division level Hirak Pankh camp and being successful are now waiting in the list of Golden Arrow Award and they can definitely get the award. S.K. Devangan HWB Cub Master played the role of Camp Nayak in Division level 4th Phase testing camp which is a matter of pride for us.
