    Benefits

    The PM SHRI School program is sponsored by the Government of India and here are the following benefits of the scheme:

    1. PM SHRI Scheme aims to offer high-quality education in an inclusive learning environment, catering to each student’s unique background, language needs, and academic capabilities
    2. In line with the National Education Policy 2020, PM SHRI Scheme seeks to develop students into successful, engaged, and valuable contributors to society
    3. Over five years, the PM-SHRI project plans to upgrade 14,500 schools, with a total expenditure of ₹27,360 crores
    4. With the integration of solar panels, LED lighting, nutrition gardens, natural farming, trash management, and water conservation, these schools will be designed with a focus on sustainability
    5. Research on environmental practices, workshops on climate change, and effective knowledge management for a healthy approach are all part of the curriculum
    6. Emphasis will be on learning outcomes in every grade, with competency-based assessments focusing on conceptual understanding and real-world application
    7. Performance criteria for each area and the effectiveness of existing resources will be evaluated, with systematic strategies for addressing deficiencies.

    3. Upgraded schools will provide leadership and mentorship to others in their regions
    4. Schools will be designed to be environmentally friendly, with features like water management, nutrition gardens, solar panels, and LED lighting
    5. They will promote environmental traditions, hold climate change hackathons, and raise awareness of sustainable lifestyles
    6. These schools adopt experiential, learner-centred, and enjoyable pedagogies
    7. Great attention is paid to each child’s learning objectives in each grade, with a focus on conceptual comprehension and practical application
    8. They work together to improve employability with local businesses and Sector Skill Councils
    9. Key performance indicators for measuring results are being established as part of the School Quality Assessment Framework (SQAF)
    10. Regular quality evaluations of these schools will take place to make sure the required standards are fulfilled.
